FloodMaster RS-070-9D Washing Machine Leak Detection Kit

Stop the water supply when a washing machine leak is detected. FloodMaster RS-070 and RS-070-9D kits use a wired water sensor, a control/alarm box and two motorized valves to shut off the hot and cold supply lines.

How it works

Place the sensor beneath or beside the washing machine where leaking water would collect. When water reaches the sensor, the control box sounds an alarm and closes both valves. After addressing the leak, reset the system for continued use.

Choose your outlet configuration

• RS-070: straight valve outlet fittings.
• RS-070-9D: 90° valve outlet fittings for installations where hose routing or clearance calls for an angled connection.

Both configurations provide leak detection and automatic hot and cold water shut-off. Have your installer confirm the appropriate fitting orientation, clearance and connections before ordering.

Kit contents

• Two ¾-inch leak prevention valve units for hot and cold water, with the selected straight or 90° outlet configuration
• Control/alarm box
• Magnetized water sensor disc with an 8-foot lead
• Metal sensor-placement plate
• 120V AC power plug with a 12-foot lead
• Installation instructions

Plan the installation

The kit uses standard ¾-inch washing machine connections. Your installer should check the existing valve spacing, hose routing, sensor placement and access to a suitable power outlet against the current installation instructions.

For a recessed outlet-box format, explore the RS-090-E+ integrated laundry shut-off system.
